Maxima Fitness MF-3000 Review

Maxima Fitness has created one of the best treadmills, or trainers as the company calls it, on the market with the MF-3000. This model is a little different right from the start. You’ll notice that on the front of the frame, there is a place to put your dumbbells. If you’ve ever wanted to make your run a little harder and didn’t want to jump off the treadmill to find your weights, you’ll quickly realize how priceless this feature can be.

There’s so much more than just a weight rack – all weights included – that make the MF-3000 a premier treadmill.

User-Centered Design

Every treadmill has varying speeds and inclines. However, many forget to focus on the user. This model is designed from the ground up to cater to the user so that they can maximize their workout and do so with minimal stress along the way.

First, the 1300 by 460 mm running area or deck features 8 cushions. When your feet hit the ground, these cushions are meant to absorb the shock. Ultimately, this eliminates the immense amount of stress you put on your feet, ankles and knees. If you’ve ever experienced runner’s knee and know how painful it is, cushions will help eliminate the knee stress that leads to most knee injuries.

Don’t want to fiddle around with buttons?

The entire 152 x 78 mm LCD monitor is touchscreen. With the tap of your finger, you’ll be able to adjust the speed and incline, change program settings, or view a variety of metrics. This model will allow you to track:

  • Speed
  • Distance
  • Time
  • Calories burned
  • Pulse
  • Incline levels

A solid steel frame can hold users up to 130 kg. Using a folding design, you can pick up the track and fold it between the handles of the treadmill. You’ll hear the lock engage, so you’ll know that the track is firmly secured into place and won’t fall.

If you’re used to lowering heavy tracks, you’ll know that they can put a lot of stress on your shoulders. There is a built-in assist program that will help guide the track down with your help. It’s not a 100% assist, but it definitely controls the majority of the track’s weight for you.

Everything is meant to make your session on the treadmill a breeze.

A Customised Workout

When you jump on the treadmill, you want to be able to get the best workout possible. For some, this means running at 4 km/h, and for others, they may maximise their workout by running at a top speed of 20 km/h.

With 15 incline levels, you’ll be able to work on speed and stamina or muscle building – or all three – all on the same treadmill.

Want to listen to music? There are built-in speakers with an MP3 input, so you can listen to the music you like best.

If you’re a runner that is used to running on a track, there is a racetrack feature displayed right on the LCD display. When the incline and speed just isn’t enough and you want to still increase your workout, there are 3 different green colored dumbbells included that are attached to the machine’s frame. Simply take them off and use them to boost your workout.

Features at a Glance

  • 20 km/h top speed
  • 15 automatic incline levels
  • Racetrack display
  • Built-in speakers with MP3 support
  • Foldable design
  • LCD display to track time, distance, calories and more

Pros

  • Comfortable track
  • Easy-to-use touchscreen display
  • High top speed
  • Easy incline level control

Cons

  • No programmable routines

The one feature I would really like to have seen with the MF-3000 is programmable routines. This makes creating a routine a lot easier, but it definitely isn’t a reason to overlook this model. In all other aspects, this Maxima model exceeds what you would find in this price range and higher.

Maxima created one of the most comfortable, cushioned tracks on the market. Even after a long session of running, your knees won’t be sore and your ankles will be pain-free. A top speed of 20 km/h is standard, and 15 incline levels allow you to adjust this treadmill’s difficulty with ease.

When you’re done, simply fold this model up in the corner. When you’re ready for another run, the assisted descent will help you start running quickly and easily.
