Treadmill calculators and charts
Written by Jamie Miller, Founder & EditorLast checked
13 calculators, charts and a finder, in 5 groups, each showing the arithmetic it used.
The groups are speed and units, running on a treadmill, calories and incline, costs and choosing, and walking. Every page dates the constants behind it, so you can check the answer rather than take it.

Calories and incline

- Treadmill calorie calculatorCalories on a treadmill by speed, weight, incline and time, with the method.
- Treadmill incline calculatorIncline in percent and degrees, the height you climb, and what it costs in effort.
Costs and choosing
- Treadmill finderEvery machine we hold a record for, filtered by the specifications that decide it.

How these are built
All the arithmetic on these pages runs at build time and ships as plain HTML, so every table is complete before any JavaScript loads and works with scripts switched off. The calculators on top of the tables are a convenience, not the page.
Where a figure comes from outside pure arithmetic, a body weight against a calorie estimate, or a walking cadence, the page names the publication it came from and the date we opened it. Where we could not find one, the page says so and marks it as not established rather than filling the gap. How we review.
