NordicTrack vs ProForm

These are sister brands, not rivals. Both are owned by iFIT, both run the same iFIT subscription, and both are sold in the UK through the same retailers with near-identical warranty structures. The differences worth knowing are in the figures below, and the largest of them is how much weight each machine is rated to carry.
The two machines compared
NordicTrack Commercial 1750 against ProForm Carbon TL. Both sourced from the same UK retailer on the same day, so the two columns are genuinely like for like.

What the table actually shows
- User weight is the real gap. 182 kg against 136 kg. That is 46 kg, and it is the difference between a machine that suits a heavier user and one that does not. Nothing else here comes close to that margin.
- Belt width, 55 cm against 46 cm. Nine centimetres sounds small and is not: it is the difference between a comfortable running stride and one you have to think about.
- Motor cover differs, 10 years against 5. Both separate motor cover from parts cover, which almost nobody else in our records does, and both carry lifetime frame cover.
- Neither publishes a noise figure. No manufacturer in any of our records does.
The motor figures are not comparable in the way they look
One machine publishes 4.25 HP and the other 2.6 HP, and neither says whether that is peak or continuous power. Those are different measurements and a peak figure from one brand against a continuous figure from another tells you nothing. Both are recorded here exactly as published, with the type marked unstated. For contrast, JTX publishes continuous horsepower explicitly and so does Echelon.
What we have not established
We have not used either machine. Both records come from a single UK retailer listing that we have not independently verified, which is why neither carries a grade above D. We hold no data on reliability, build quality or how either behaves over time.How we review.
