Privacy

This site is a set of static files. It has no accounts, no logins, no comments and no forms, so there is nothing for you to fill in and nothing for us to store.
What we collect directly
Nothing. There is no sign-up, no newsletter box, no comment thread and no contact form. If you email us, we have your email and whatever you put in it, and we keep it only as long as it takes to deal with what you wrote about.
What happens automatically
Our host records ordinary server information when a page is requested, such as the request itself, the approximate region and the browser making it. This is the normal operation of a web server and is used to keep the site running and to stop abuse. We do not use it to build a profile of you and we cannot identify you from it.
Cookies
We set no cookies of our own. Your browser may store a preference locally, such as whether you prefer the light or dark version of the page; that stays on your device and is never sent to us.
When you click through to a retailer
Links to shops are commercial links, explained in full on theaffiliate disclosure page. When you follow one, the retailer and its affiliate network will usually set a cookie so that a purchase can be attributed. That happens on their side, under their privacy policy, not ours. We receive a count of purchases attributed to us, never your name, address, card details or what else you bought.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask what personal data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. In practice, if you have never emailed us, we hold nothing. Ask us and we will tell you plainly.
Two things will be added here before launch, and are deliberately not guessed at now: the data controller's registered details, and whether the site uses any analytics. No analytics tool is installed today. If one is added, this page will name it, say what it records, and say so before it goes live rather than afterwards.
