JTX MoveLight
Written by Jamie Miller, Founder & EditorLast checked
We have not run on this machine and we do not pretend to have. What follows is every figure JTX or its retailer publishes about the JTX MoveLight, each one carrying where it came from and when we checked it, and an equally plain list of the 4 figures nobody publishes at all.
11 of 15 specifications established from a named source.
What the figures say
Every line below is worked out from the numbers in the table, compared against the other machines we hold records for. None of it is an impression.
In its favour
- At 122 cm the belt is the longest of any machine we hold a record for, ahead of 120 cm.
- 29.5 kg is light enough for one person to reposition.
- 2 years of cover, longer than anything comparable we hold.
- The motor figure is published as 1 CHP, continuous rather than peak. Most brands leave you guessing which one they mean.
Against it
- The 100 kg ceiling is below the 136 kg of the highest-rated machine we hold.
- It does not fold, so the floor it occupies is permanent.
- The maker states there is no incline. Walking on the flat is all it will do.
- No wireless of any kind, stated plainly by the maker. Whatever the console shows is all you get.

What nobody publishes
Most sites leave these rows out, which makes a machine look better documented than it is. They are here because knowing what is unknown changes how much weight you put on the rest.

Who it suits
Our reading of the figures above, not a verdict on the machine.

- No
- Walking

- Putting it away
- Yes
Maximum speed is 6 km/h with no incline, which is walking only - the manufacturer lists Primary Workout Type as "Walking". Storage is yes: it is 12.5 cm tall with transport wheels and needs no folding. Apartment is unknown despite the brushless motor, because no noise figure is published and brushless describes construction, not sound.
How this page was put together
Every figure above was read off a named source, recorded with the date we read it, and is shown with that source attached. Where two sources disagreed we kept both. Where a figure was missing we left it missing, because the alternative is to borrow a number from a similar model and hope. Nothing here is a measurement of ours. How we review.
