Your treadmill purchase also comes with a free Aerobic Twist Disc with resistance bands, and three free e-books.

In this review we will test whether the build quality match with this strong features on this 2017 update of this entry-to-mid level treadmill?

Key Features of the XM-Pro III Treadmill

  • 1100 W (1.5 CHP) motor
  • 12 KPH maximum speed
  • 12 auto programs and 1 manual program
  • 3-level manual incline
  • Good size running surface
  • LCD display computer system
  • Calorie counter
  • Heart rate sensors
  • Quick speed buttons
  • Time and distance tracking
  • Magnetic safety key

Among these features, this treadmill is also lightweight and reasonably compact because of its new space-saving design. It is built of reasonable quality materials for the price range.

Functions and Performance

As highlighted above the XM-Pro III comes with many premium features for a treadmill priced at the lower end of the market. The top speed and maximum user weight are better than many at this price point.

The program selection and screen quality are reasonable. However there are a few issues worth pointing out:

  • As with many handle heart rate sensors the quality is not the best are requires a very stable grip which is not always possible when running
  • The built-in speakers are low-end in terms of sound quality. You may be better off with headphones.
  • There is no pause button to take a quick break during your workout. So if you stop you will loose your data. This is not a big deal but is an important feature for some people.

Noise Level

Owning your treadmill is a convenient way to sustain an easy exercise routine at home. However, depending on where you live, the noise that a treadmill makes might be disturbing to neighbors or even family members in your home.

The XM-Pro III is acceptable in terms of noise for a machine without a suspension system. There is a moderate amount of noise with full speed running which is normal.

You won't be able to watch TV without turning up the volume but it's shouldn't disturb people in other rooms, unless you have the music coming through the built-in speakers cranked up.

Horsepower and Speed

The motor in your treadmill is the key component in running this equipment. You will want a motor that is designed to sustain long-term use. Higher-quality motors will typically come with longer warranty periods.

The XM-Pro III does not disappoint here either with it's lifetime motor warranty and reasonable 1.5 CHP motor that is suitable for walking through to fast jogging.

XM-Pro III Motor

This treadmill can reach a maximum speed of 12 km/h. It also includes quick speed buttons for 3/5/7 km/h.

Incline Levels

The more you increase the incline, the more it will mimic the intensity of an outdoor hills workout. If you just want the sensation of jogging outside on flat terrain then a zero incline is good and will help you focus on moving forward. If you are looking for a more intense workout for your legs and to burn more calories, then slightly adjusting the incline will help focus in more on the muscles.

The XM-Pro III has a 3-level manual incline to help burn more calories with a reduced the impact on your joints that going 'uphill' provides.

Size and Weight

There is a significant difference between the folded dimensions and boxed dimension, which means you easily store it mostly out of the way if you use to in the bedroom, lounge or other shared space.

  • Assembled Dimensions: 140 (H) x 65 (W) x 135 (L) cm
  • Folded Dimensions: 139 (H) x 60 (W) x 65 (L) cm
  • Running Deck Area (L x W): 110 cm x 40 (W) cm
  • Boxed Product Weight: 30 kg
  • Assembled Product Weight: 28kg

This shouldn't be a big issue for most users but if I was being picky I would mention the wheels for moving the treadmill when folded up are on the small side.

Also if you are over 6 feet tall than you may find the running track may be on the short side, this is not a problem if you mainly plan to use it for walking.

Assembly and Delivery

Before purchasing your treadmill, consider all the different assembly and delivery options that are available for you. Also, be sure to measure your exterior entrances to be sure that the equipment can be delivered easily and fit into the space.

The packaging for this treadmill is bulky and quite heavy, I recommend that you have two people available to put it where it needs to go, especially if you want to take it upstairs.

The XM-Pro III is easy to put together and assemble.

Max User Weight

The max user weight varies from treadmill to treadmill. A lower quality and smaller treadmill weight maximums may only go up to 90kg, but a high-end model could push this number up to a maximum of 160 kg.

The maximum weight for the XM-Pro III Treadmill is 110 kg (242 lb/ 17 stone).

Conclusion

If you are looking for a reasonably priced fitness treadmill with a good feature set you have found it with the XM-Pro III. This treadmill represents good value and as mentioned above a reseaonable trade-off on features versus quality.

If you want a get a treadmill that's quite a bit better than most entry level models for only a small increase in price then I would recommend the Prestige Sports XM-Pro III for you.
