Confidence Power Trac Pro 735W Electric Motorised Treadmill Running Machine With 3 Manual Incline Settings

Overview

In this review you’ll discover what Confidence Power Trac Pro has to offer and find out if the treadmills performance, reliability, and features provide what you need in a budget treadmill.

Key Features of the Confidence Power Trac Pro treadmill:

  • 12 built-in fitness programs
  • 4 pre-set speeds from 1 km/h to 10 km/h
  • 3 manual incline levels – up to 5 degrees
  • LED computer display screen
  • Calorie, time, distance, and speed displays
  • Basic 600 watt motor

Functions and Performance

There are a total of 12 different preset fitness programs that allow you to get started without having to set the speeds and levels all on your own. This is an impressive number of presets for an entry-level treadmill.

The levels start out easy with pre-set 1 and get harder as you go up to pre-set 12. You’ll want to start with the basic levels and slowly work your way up to something that’s going to be harder as your fitness improves.

If you don’t want a full pre-set workout but you aren’t keen on going through the sub-levels of speed you can use one of the four pre-set speeds from 3 km/h, 5 km/h, 8 km/h or 10 km/h to get yourself up a little bit faster without having to go up one small step at a time.

Noise Level

If you’re looking for something quiet to run on then this is a reasonable choice because it has a smaller motor and lower speeds that keep it from becoming too loud. The track also runs smoothly to ensure all the pieces keep the noise level down but it’s not going to be entirely quiet.

Horsepower/Speed

The max speed on the Confidence Power Trac Pro is 10 km/h, which gives you a decent range for your workout but doesn’t allow you get fast enough if you’re a serious runner or want to include some sprints in your training. You’ll be able to go all the way down to 3 km/h, however, if you’re looking to get started from the bottom or use it for a relaxing walk.

This system has a 600 w motor, which is actually a little less than 1 HP, so you’re not getting a super strong motor to go along with the system, but with it’s low-end price it’s been designed to give you just the right amount of power for an ok top speed without a high powered (and more expensive) engine.

Incline Levels

This machine has three different inclines that are available but you have to get off the machine and set them yourself in order to use them. This means you will have to stick with one incline setting for your entire workout unless you want to turn it off, get off midway through and change the incline before getting started again.

You can choose an incline from 2, 3.5, and 5 degrees, which provides you a fair range of increased resistance. If you choose not to have an incline you can also leave the unit entirely flat.

Size and Weight

The running track on the Power Trac Pro is on the small end at 36 cm across and 100 cm long. This provides enough space for most people to move around, whether you want to run or walk. If you are taller or heavier you may have a little bit of trouble moving quickly on this track, but overall it’s a good size and it’s not too narrow for most people.

When it’s completely unfolded and ready to go, the unit is 125 cm long by 61 cm wide by 120 cm tall. This is a good compact size when it comes to finding a space to put it in your home, especially if you’re planning on leaving it set up all the time.

When you’re ready to fold it up and store it away you have a length of 126 cm by 61 cm by and 27 cm tall so it can easily be stored under a bed or stood up to fit in the back of a closet. No matter what your plans are, you’ll be able to put it away and move it easily enough.

Confidence Power Trac Pro - Folded

Weighing only 24 kg, this unit is actually quite easy to move when you want to get it out of the way or when you need to set it up for initial use. This ensures you’re ready to go when you want to and the treadmill isn’t going to get in your way.

Assembly and Delivery

It ships for free within the UK and once you’re ready to get started putting it together assembly is not too difficult.

You may want someone else to help you move it around once it arrives as it can be a little bulky in the box, but you shouldn’t have any problem getting it to whatever room of the house you want and then getting started with the assembly process.

When it comes to the instructions to put things together you’re going to find they leave a little to be desired, but that happens quite a bit with instruction manuals for just about anything. Still, you should be able to get it assembled relatively easily because there’s not a whole lot you even need to put together for yourself.

If you buy from Amazon UK they offer an assembly service if you want it done for you.

Max User Weight

This treadmill is designed for a maximum user weight of 120 kg (about 19 stone/ 260 lb).

Conclusion

The Confidence Power Trac Pro is a very reasonable all-around machine at a budget price. It offers a variety of fitness programs, which is great for beginner and advanced treadmill users alike and also has a range of speeds up to 10 km/h.

It is a smaller unit and doesn’t keep track of your pulse rate, but it will monitor your speed, distance, time, and calories used.

If you are above average height or weight, or you wish to include some sprints in your training I would recommend you spend a little more and go with a mid-range model such as the JLL S300 which comes with a larger running surface, faster top speed and a power incline.

That said, overall the Power Trac Pro is suitable for most uses for beginner to intermediate exercisers, with the only real drawback being the manual incline and slightly smaller running surface, both of which are to be expected at this price.
