V-Fit Start Treadmill Review

Treadmills are a popular workout machine due to their ability to provide an individual with a total body workout. Most models come with additional features and settings to provide a more challenging and motivating experience.

When looking for the best treadmill to buy that fits within your budget, you will want to do your homework and consider a few key factors. These factors include the noise level, the horsepower/speed, the incline levels, the size and weight of the machine, the ease of assembly and delivery, and the max user weight that the manufacturer recommends for the machine.

The V-Fit Start Motorised Folding Treadmill is an affordably-priced treadmill that offers a reasonable trade-off of features and settings for most fitness goals you may have in mind. But there are many mid-level treadmills on the market, is a machine worth a second look?

Key Features of the V-Fit Start

  • 500W Electric Motor
  • 1200 x 400 mm shock absorbing flexi-deck
  • 0.5 to 8.8 km/h speed range
  • 4 Auto Speed Programs and manual speed setting
  • 3 position manual incline up to 7%
  • 12-month warranty

Functions and Performance

The treadmill comes with a 6-function LCD screen computer with 4 auto speed programs. This displays theoretical calorie burn, distance, hand pulse readings, speed and time functions, allowing you to easily track your progress while you exercise.

Noise Level

The noise level of a treadmill is important, especially if you live in an apartment and have neighbors nearby or family members that you don’t wish to bother.

The V-Fit Start Motorised Folding Treadmill features a shock absorbing deck slightly cuts down on the amount of vibration and noise. Overall , it is average for noise in this price range. IF you wish to reduce the noise further pair the treadmill with a padded mat which will also protect your floor.

Horsepower and Speed

This treadmill features a reasonable 500w motor (0.75 hp continuous – 1.25hp Peak). This motor provides a 0.5-8.0 km/h treadmill speed range. This is is slightly slower than the typical 10km/hr max speed usually common with treadmills in this mid-tier price bracket.

That said, 8 km/hr is quite a reasonable jogging speed.

Incline Levels

The V-Fit Start Treadmill now features a three-position frame incline so that you can vary your workout as you see fit and add extra challenge and motivation.

The three-position pin adjustment can provide up to 7% rear frame decline and a 4% fixed incline running deck.

Size and Weight

The V-Fit Start Motorised Folding Treadmill has a sturdy chip-resistant coating and a solid feel to the folding tubular steel frame. It also features transportation wheels, so it is easy to move once it is folded up for convenient storage.

The V-fit treadmill has a decently sized running that should suit most people. IF you are very tall and want to incorporate sprint intervals this may not be the best treadmill for you.

  • Assembled Dimensions: L 130 cm x W 68 cm x H 110 cm
  • Folded Dimensions: D 45 cm x W 68 cm x H 130 cm
  • Product Weight: 38.0 kg
  • Maximum User Weight: 100 kg / 222 lb / 15.8 st.
  • Full Size Running Area: 10000 mm x 400 mm

Assembly and Delivery

UK delivery is free and can take three to five days after dispatch. The delivery agent will call in advance to arrange a time with you and will help to bring the box inside to the room you wish to set it up in.

This is a great help as the boxed weight is almost 40 kg.

Assembly is simple and uncomplicated with instructions that are clear and straightforward and easy to follow. Some of the bolts may require some ‘help’ to get aligned over the hole but the process is pretty straight forward.

The treadmill itself is well packaged and once assembled the treadmill is easy to fold for storage. This product comes with all the tools that are required for assembly.

Maximum User Weight

The maximum user weight is 100kg/220lbs/ 15st 10lb which is typical for a treadmill in this price range.

Conclusion

The V-Fit Start Motorised Folding Treadmill is a good choice for any beginner who wants to include a daily exercise workout.

The many features make it a great value with a strong combination of features, solid construction, a moderate noise level, and it folds well and rolls for easy and convenient storage.

The only downside would be the lower speeds that it can achieve, so if you are a more experienced treadmill user then you will want to find something with top end speed. ALso if you are over a bit more strength and endurance that can go faster.

Otherwise I recommend this treadmill.
